A Group Advocating Real, Global and Moral Democracy Has Created a Petition for the Democratization of the U.N. Organization
Ramono Perez
Manila, Philippines, June 28, 2006/Ramono Perez/ -- The League of Political Abrogationists (LPA), a group which is waging peaceful and lawful actions for this world to attain real, global and moral democracy, has created an on-line petition campaign
requesting the U.N. administration to democratize the whole structure of the U.N. Organization. The mentioned on-line petition can be electronically signed at this web page:
www.petitiononline.com/gelly55/ .
The petition is urging U.N. Organization's official and administrative leadership to democratize the whole framework, processes and procedures of the United Nations' Organization. A controversial part of the said document is advocating the principle of having a U.N. administration made up of "elected legislators" from the countries where they came from. The document is also advocating the introduction of referendums and elections within the structural framework of the U.N. Organization. The document wants to give the citizens of the member-states of the U.N. the chance to elect the leaders who will sit as officials, including the seat belonging to the U.N. Secretary-General, of the United Nations. The said document is also promoting the idea of having a "democratic global constitution" for this world. The League of Political Abrogationers has drafted the said on-line petition last year. The League of Political Abrogationers is planning to maximize public awareness for the said petition. Hence, the group has planned various propaganda campaigns for the petition to be staged on the internet and at several public forums all over the world. The group is also planning to gather written signatures from all over the world for the said petition. The League of Political Abrogationers (LPA) will begin gathering written signatures for the said petition at Metro Manila, Philippines on July 21, 2006. The LPA will gather around 1.5 million signatures worldwide for the petition. The said petition and the gathered signatures for the endorsement of such petition will be submitted to the U.N. headquarters in New York this year.
